Elements of Friendship: Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan

Elements of Friendship: Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan

"I would rather walk with a friend in the dark, than alone in the light."

- Helen Keller

When I think about epic friendships in history, I think about Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan.

Madam CJ Walker: America's First Self-Made Female Millionaire

Out of the many inspirational women I looked up in my search of women and finances, Madam C.J. Walker stood out among them. As the first American female self-made millionaire, how could she not? Madam Walker exhibited all of the traits that I wanted to learn about and now share with you all.

Today’s world has so many opportunities for women, and many of those opportunities were made possible by Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Political views aside, it’s hard to deny the path that RBG paved for women to have a seat at the table. Throughout her life she broke down gender norms and expectations, and it all began with her mother’s view on education.

In this post, you’ll learn more about Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s life and accomplishments, as well as an activity and some discussion questions about the importance of education, goal-setting, and chasing your dreams.
